Accountability really took my journey to the next level which is why I am so passionate about that now. I think it’s so incredible to have someone in our corner cheering for us, holding us accountable to the goals we’ve set for ourselves, when the circumstances of our day try to derail us.
I hope when you’re here you find some helpful encouragement to get you started on the right track, tips to help you find the time to move your body in your busy day, or a reminder that God is the sustainer of our lives and our ultimate satisfaction.
About eight years ago, I walked into a local women’s bootcamp for the first time. I was an athlete in high school but after three kids in six years, my movement had significantly slowed down.
I felt trapped in my desire to comfort myself with food and was fighting that struggle daily. I prayed often, begging God to “take it away”. I didn’t want to seek food for comfort anymore.
I continued to train with my bootcamp and with some encouragement from my trainer, I started to train for her and became a Certified Spin Instructor in 2021, but I still struggled with food.
I lived in extremes. I was either on plan to a “T” or I was completely blowing it all with nightly binge eating. This continued for over a year...
I have had the opportunity, through my bootcamp community, to share my story, my struggles, and now the victory on the other side with so many women. I’ve been given the incredible blessing to walk along side women during various places on their journey and encourage them. I get to teach women that there can be a more balanced approach to enjoying the food God created and that it’s not only possible, but they can do it!
When we feel good on the inside, we are better wives, mothers, friends, and we can serve Christ’s church better. I’ve had the joy to train next to women who have changed their lives by showing up consistently, not perfectly.
